Inspired by the sight of a rare whooping Crane, this acrylic painting was done while I was Artist-in-residence at The Necedah Wildlife Refuge, which came to be one of my favorite places on earth. It proudly hangs on the Refuge's walls.

Again this painting was done while Artist-in-Residence at the Necedah Wildlife Refuge. What an honor to pay tribute to such a rare and dignified species. I would hope for all to experience the majesty of this bird and perhaps, just perhaps, it would no longer be near extinction.
